"Blessed are you, O LORD, the God of Israel our father, forever and ever. Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all. Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might, and in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all. And now we thank you, our God, and praise your glorious name. "But who [are we], and what [are the Montgomerys], that we should be able thus to offer willingly? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you.
For we are strangers before you and sojourners, as all our fathers were. Our days on the earth are like a shadow, and there is no abiding.
1st Chronicles the 29th chapter
Hi! I have never posted on a blog before - so I hope this gets to you! We have so enjoyed reading your blog - we think of you often, especially on really hot days like today. (Man, the car says it is 98 degrees out -wonder how hot it is in Dubai??) We are finishing up school here. Kersten and Hannah are done, Lydia has a bit more than others to go, and Paul and PhilipJohn just have to finish up their language books...then onto mandatory summer reading!
ReplyDeleteI can see I am almost out of space here...Many of our friends have moved away, so the children are rather bored. We're praying for some new summertime friends to move in! In the meantime, for the summer, Kersten has been on a summer swim team, and Lydia and Hannah are taking horse riding lessons at a *very* reasonable price at Tamarack stables. So, I am busy with driving, again!
We'll be looking forward to your next postings!
Take care, Ellen Forsberg
